Michelle Yee is an Asian-Canadian artist, award-winning photographer, writer, speaker, author, and former co-founder of SOFIA, a collective for women working in photography.

For over a decade in Toronto, Michelle has worked as a commercial photographer, specializing in portrait and documentary photography. In that time, Michelle worked with a wide range of clients that included Mercedes-Benz, The Associated Press (UK), Royal Bank of Canada, VICE, BUST Magazine, University of Toronto, Public Health Ontario, and The Globe and Mail.

Since the summer of 2017, Michelle has been based in the US and currently lives in San Francisco.

Her first artist’s book, AFTER THAT AUGUST, is set to be released this coming November 2019.

Michelle is available for commercial and editorial photography commissions, speaking engagements, consulting, mentoring, and workshops.
