Michelle Yee is an award-winning photographer specializing in editorial, documentary and wedding photography. She is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. With a keen eye for light and a talent for capturing fleeting emotions, Michelle Yee is a visual storyteller.
Michelle Yee's past clients include Public Health Ontario, Royal Bank, and Epicure Selections; and her images have also appeared in BUST, Report on Business, Toronto Life, Financial Post Business and Chatelaine. In tandem with her editorial photography career, Michelle Yee has been shooting weddings since 2000. She spent a couple of years shooting in Victoria, BC and Edmonton, AB before finally moving to Toronto in the fall of 2003. While working as a photo assistant and later a producer for commercial photography clients (producing photoshoots for clients like Nike, Timberland, BMO), Michelle Yee also worked as a freelance wedding photographer for several years with the highly-esteemed company, Boston Images.
Michelle Yee has since set out on her own and is now working independently as a freelance editorial and wedding photographer.
Michelle Yee has photographed weddings at many unique and beautiful venues including the Ancaster Old Mill, Auberge du Pommier, Boiler House, Berkeley Field House, Camp Wahanowin, Evergreen Don Valley Brickworks, Kortright Conservation Area, Park Hyatt Hotel, Thompson Landry Gallery, and Wychwood Barns. Michelle Yee is also really nice and thinks that both her husband and their Chihuahua are ridiculously cute.
